CA - Los Angeles Fair Chance Poster

Fair Chance Ordinance Prohibits Criminal History Questions

Effective February 2017, all employers in Los Angeles must display a posting that informs employers of the mandatory Fair Chance Ordinance, which limits an employer's consideration of a job applicant's criminal history. The new law bars employers from asking job applicants about criminal history until a conditional offer of employment has been tendered. Employers cannot include a question about criminal history on a job application either.
