Oakland, CA Minimum Wage & Sick Leave Posters Outline Private Sector Benefits
Oakland, California businesses must post the city's minimum wage and paid sick leave laws, in addition to mandatory federal posters, to avoid costly fines. The laws, effective March 2015, apply to all employers with businesses in the city of Oakland. The minimum wage ordinance provides for annual cost of living increases every January. The paid sick leave ordinance provides at least 5 paid sick days a year.
